ONLY for those with back tattoos... How did you reach it?

I was planning on getting a tattoo that's pretty much in the middle of my back. Then I realized that it might be hard to reach the tattoo to wash it properly. For those of you who have had tattoos on your back, how did you wash it properly and apply ointment on it? I know the healing process because I have a tattoo on my ankle. I just can't fathom how to reach a tattoo in the middle of my back.
