What do you think ?

We went to Disneyland and Universal Studios during the summer. I wanted to buy some hooded sweaters so I can wear it during this time of year, when it gets cold. However, my mom told me not to buy it because sweaters don't have a zipper, unlike jackets. She told me to look for a jacket, but there were only sweaters. Because of that, I didn't buy one. Should I just buy the sweater anyways next time I go there? Does sweaters shrink a lot?
