My Exploder is making an interesting noise?

Alternators make that noise when their bearings get sloppy or stiff. If the noise also comes through the radio, then the alternator has fried a diode. If you remove the belt you might be able to tell which pulley is the source of the noise as you turn each by hand. A gritty feeling in rotation marks the culprit.
