Who do you think has a harder time keeping jobs? (Explain & tell personal experiences please).?

A very competent person who offers solutions to on-going problems and is willing to work extra hours without pay to make sure a department succeeds. OR A game player who protects status quo at all costs, will sabotage new employees and undermine over achievers so that long breaks, and other things such as not actually working most of the day can remain unnoticed?
