You could use HAS/MANAGED if the clause stood alone, but in the context it would be confusing. Because you're talking about two time periods (the time period when he managed the Texas outfit and this morning/today) in one sentence, it's best to use a past tense (here, the past continuous) to indicate that one is finished (the time he was in Texas) and one (this morning/today) is still in progress.

Obesity is not a crime. If there happens to be a 66% obesity rate in the UK, so be it. The people should be able to live their lives how they choose to do so. If that means eating more, and eating unhealthy, that is their right.

Help! Can anyone help me with my sick fish?

I was recently given a goldfish, 2 little albino corys and a sucker fish. From day 1 we had problems with the sucker fish, it was behaving irratically and wouldnt eat and eventually it died. From then on i went and bought a tiny little silver fish(like a gold tetra i think!) and a calico moor. Everything seemed to be going along smoothly for a week untill the little fish started to swim irratically and its coloured stripe began to chang into a very pale purple. After a bit or research i put it down to simbladder disease and took action, fortunatly it survived so i put it back into the tank. At the same time i began to notice that the other fish began to miserable and after a few days the little fish died, followed closely, and suddenly, by the albinos. We are left with a golfish and calico moor who look poorly:( They swim in a very depressed manner, somtimes floating upside down. Could this be Ick/ich disease? I havnt noticed any spots but ive checked the water & feed & thats all fine

What should i do when my 4 year old acts up bad?!?

I Have an autistic 4 year old daughter who throws fits alot! She is going to summer school right now to help her out more...when she comes home after school she can be very awnry and sometimes in a bad way...she throws things across the house and brakes them...Sometimes i cry and lock myself in the bedroom for a while and have my husband watch her because i can't deal with it...I never do her because i don't believe in ...when i was a child my step father was mean to my sister and me alot so i know how it would hurt my daughter and don't do it...i putt her in time out and walk away for a while and sometimes cry...there are days also she throws big fits in the store for no reason out of the blue...i have to leave the grocery store in 2 sec. because of her screaming and throwing things out of the car, I feel like the whole store is looking at me somtimes...I will be getting her more testing done in august comming up and im trying the best i can!! thanks
